Mozambique
Mozambique works for a coastal stay if you keep to the south. Maputo has the country's real infrastructure and a lively Afro-Portuguese food and music scene, and relaxed beach towns further up the coast attract divers and longer-staying travellers. The far north is different: the province of Cabo Delgado has an active insurgency and should be avoided. Malaria precautions are needed throughout, cyclone season runs through the wet months, and internet is weak. Imported goods and island accommodation are expensive. There is no nomad visa. The dry season runs from May to October.

Tourism & infrastructure in Mozambique
Tofo's whale sharks and manta rays and the Bazaruto Archipelago's dhows and dunes give Mozambique one of Africa's most beautiful coastlines. The far-northern Cabo Delgado province carries a serious insurgency risk, so this is better treated as a coastal travel destination than a nomad base, with that region avoided entirely.
