Colombia's transit is highlighted by Medellín, whose clean metro and Metrocable gondolas are a regional model, and Bogotá's extensive TransMilenio bus rapid transit, with a first metro line under construction. Other cities rely on buses. Intercity travel uses comfortable long-distance coaches and cheap domestic flights across the mountainous terrain. City centres are walkable but vary in safety.
